WELCOME AND LIGHTING OF THE CHRIST CANDLE
CALL TO WORSHIP
PRAYER OF APPROACH (in unison)
For the wonder of your creation; for the goodness that fills our lives; and for every impulse that moves us to seek your presence, we give thanks to you, O God.
For the privilege of offering praise with voices raised in song, and for the power of music to lift us into your presence, we thank you, God.
Receive the worship that we offer now, and open our hearts to the mystery and wonder of your being. We pray in Christ’s name. Amen
PRAYER OF CONFESSION (in unison)
Forgive us, O God, if by the names we call you we have presumed to contain you or to know you fully. Forgive us for times when we have confused faith with knowledge; times when we have turned away from new learnings because they challenge our certainties; times when we have caused offense to others by refusing to honour their journey of faith. Give us minds and hearts open to truth, responsive to your Spirit, and trustful of your goodness. This we ask in Jesus’ name. Amen
We’re So Glad You Came!

Church Website
We are trying to keep the church’s web-site current and in this connection, we would love to have information related to church activities, including fund raisers such as the bazaar. The fashion show would have been a good example. Any Committee that may have information they would like the greater congregation and/or community to know about please forward this information to me, Sharon Kittson, at s.kittson@hotmail.com. I will then refer these items and/or pictures to Linda Birmingham who maintains the website. We will not be able to include birthdays, anniversaries or outside community events. If you have access to the web, please take the time to browse the church’s site at www.trinityu.ca it is very informative. Thank you!
Coffee Time
Coffee time today is brought to you by Berna & Steve Ormsby and Ardyn & Ethel Todd. Please join us in the auditorium following worship for a ‘cupa’ and fellowship.
Rev. Kathleen Away
Rev. Kathleen is away from Nov. 19 – 26. Kathleen and Bruce would like to thank all who worked so faithfully on the Christmas bazaar. The fellowship, fundraising and fun is a wonderful start to our Christmas preparations.
Visitation and Stewardship Update
Between Oct. 26 and Nov. 8, 165 Trinity households have been visited by 28 volunteers formed into 22 different groups. The visitation presented the good news of Kathleen's ministry and what we are doing at Trinity and asked for Pledges of money, time, and talent for 2011 and 2012.
Although not all visitation information has been returned to the church office, the returns to date have been very encouraging. So far 94 households have pledged $ 125,658 for 2011. This shows an increase of 10% when analyzing a similar group of 70 households compared to our 2010 pledges.
Our volunteers visited 7 households each and deserve our thanks for their dedication. Their enthusiasm and energy in reaching out to our congregation has opened new and positive relationships and has increased the ability of Trinity to plan its near-term future.
If, by chance, you were missed and wish to be visited, please contact
Linda Richardson, Church Secretary, at 687-2542
It is with thanks that we acknowledge our visitors: Jim Reynolds, Dave and Eileen Trethewey, Mark and Sasha Pringle, Gord and Doreen Maunder, Sharon Kittson, Neville Stevenson, Ardyn Todd, Bob and Shirley Harris, Pat Loughead, Brad and Elaine Fletcher, Steve Ormsby, Marina Fitzgerald, Helen Mallet, Ron Riddell, Lorne Robertson, Gord Durnan, Roger Bolt, Juris Svistunenko, Bob Weekes, Jim Goodwin, Dave Follis, Dick Augustine and Jim Cruickshank.
